Excellent choice on the sashing and borders. These will look great in the quilt. what a tribute to the artist.

i'm doing some flowers almost like yours. i used rayon thread and put a light batting under the flower area and did some thread play in the leaves and flowers before i put the quilt together.then once you sandwich it together and quilt it, it looks like trapunto and most of your quilting is done for you

I like this layout better than the first one you posted. It has more movement and looks "lighter" with those delicate blocks. Happy shopping. anxious to see your finished quilt.

I know, from your previous posting, that you inherited those hand painted blocks. I think your layout is gorgeous! The blocks are treasures and you are treating them with love. Kudos! Please post when finished. I can imagine how wonderful the quilt will look and feel. I think that's what we would all love.
