I like them both but depending on whether you want a bright quilt (choice a) or a quiet quilt ( choice b). The choice is yours. I like brights for me but for a gift I would choose b.

I prefer number 1 because the flecks of color pick up the darker tones in the other pinks. In number 2 the pink looks a little washed out.

I agree...I like the first choice...the one with tiny spatters of color. The batik makes the quilt look dull. Just my opinion.

The first photo is the two fabrics in question. In the second and third photo, the rose fabric is not as harsh a colour as it looks, and will be used for the center of the chain. |
I like the first grouping but would change the green to one more like the edges of the little leaves-- a darker leaf green instead of that mint. I think that would look great with the pinks.

like the 1st

1st choice!

Love the 1st pic. I think the darker one is better.

I would choose no.1 I like the way it brings out the darker colors.

I like the first one also, as the others have said, it picks up the dark pink in the floral and dark pink fabrics. Post a pic as you go. It is going to be awesome.

The first - the red specks go better with the red and the red in the floral fabric.
