nygal, LOVE your quilt!
retiredteacher, your bags are so cute, especially the cat one. jannie, have fun with all the cleaning :) I didn't get too much done yesterday and didn't spend too much time on the board unfortunately as wasn't feeling well. Feeling much better today and heading to church, then Lenten bible study so won't be quilting until after lunch today. I wasn't in the mood to work on Christmas presents yesterday so started a Christmas quilt instead! |
a real beauty!

I know the weekend is half over, but because it was on, I put aside a few things and actually sandwiched two large quilts. They had been hanging around for awhile, and it seemed like a good time to sandwich. One went smoothly, and the other one was all sandwiched and as it was laying there I saw a mistake. Perfectionist that I am, I had to start ripping out that area (luckily on a corner). It is all ripped out and the pieces are laid out to sew in. Off I go to see if I can piece part of a quilt while the other part is sandwiched. Wish me luck.
I love this virtual weekend. Gives me incentive to spend some time at the sewing machine. |

All the projects look awesome! I worked on mine - the zipper pouch is a pattern from Atkinson Designs called Bridget's Bagettes. I also did my first paper-pieced project yesterday with a new group of ladies I recently met - it sure is a totally different way of quilting! I was ready for some spring - but drug out some Christmas fabric for this PP carpenter star.

ny gal I love your quilt. ill be working on my great-nieces quilt that I started on in oct it has been a really slow process. was going to have it ready by Christmas but all the long armers around here were full up so I decided to enlarge it and give it to her for her bday which is the first of may. I have to finish it in the next couple of weeks because im having knee surgery and I want it done in case my recovery is slower than expected. im hoping to get the last of the squares done today so I can sew the last 2 rows together and put the border on it and be finished.
and can I say I don't want to see any more blk and white fabric for awhile lol. ill post a pic in the next couple of weeks. id really like to have something cut out to play with while recuperating but well see. im not sure about sewing under the influence. I just get so bored lol. Carla m |
