I'm loving the fabric! So pretty!
Missgiggles.....I don't know what you did, hurts my brain to try to figure it out, but the fabric is really pretty! Ok,,,,I'm taking names of those that are going to help me unpack, then we will have a party and/or road trip! |

Missgigglewings...a 45 degree triangles will give you 8 pieces (octagon) according to my book :wink: I hope that you can get a couple of more repeats, those blocks are Gorgeous!!! |

Thank you all so much! I looked at my ruler more closly and it is a 90*, not a 60*. I do love the fabric and I believe I can get the repeats to complete these blocks. I will work on that tomorrow and will post results. Thanks again!

missgigglewings - "One Block Wonders" pg. 46 - 61 explains how to do octagon blocks. When you do octagons, you end up with a square in the middle that needs to be filled with a square of your fabric or as she does in the book 4 triangles sewn together to make a square. Octagons don't fit exactly together the way hexagons do.

if you have extra fabric still the best way to get the repeats, it is a bit longer but if you take one of the pieces and find out where it goes and lay it on the fabric and carefully cut around it, that is generally how they do the kalidescopes.

Personally, I'd just start over. Sounds like a pain in the bahooky to try and realign it all!!
