After much peering through my triangle ruler and pondering, I cut two sizes! Couldn't make my mind up whether I prefer the opulent big ones or the variety in the little ones. See below. I've got tons of this fabric so I might end up making two quilts!! Unless I find an ingenuous idea to use both in a single quilt, LOL.

Cutting went surprisingly smoothly, I'm self-taught and had never used a rotary cutter before, but thanks to cutebuns's brilliant photos I managed just fine! Yay. (Except my arms are now sore after cutting just half of 4yds of fabric... :-) )

And I do have a question!

About the practical rotary cutting and where to put my hands for the first cut. The second cut, on the right of the triangle ruler, is clear to me, I hold down the ruler with my left and push away from me with the cutter in my right, as normal. (Or as is normal for me at this stage, I never took a class in this so what do I know...)

For the first cut, along the left-hand edge of the triangle, I've ended up twisting myself into a cord to hold the triangle with my left, then reach around my left arm with my right and cut. I'm cutting towards the point of the triangle because I found starting the cut from the point of the triangle (which is less twisty for me) too difficult. I wish I could take a photo of me doing this...

Does my description make sense? I'm wanting to cut more and am wondering whether there's a healthier way of doing the left-side cuts!
