That is awesome that you found some more blocks Kay. That is a happy surprise, a nap usually does me well, today I am not lucky enough to get one

I like the second picture better too, Esq. I'm wondering what it would look like if you took the real light ones and ran them in an S then filled in with the medium then the dark. I will confess I tried using paint to do it with your blocks but the pic wasn't big enough for me to move block by block. The pain of arthritis today is pretty high so was having to use the wrong hand on the mouse, too.

I love the way your blocks turned out, though, really beautiful! Hugs

The second one is the same as the first, just turned on it's side, and it came out darker for some reason - I think I used a different setting on the camera. I need to play, I like the idea of the "s" - perhaps I'll try that tonight.

Here's a new layout, what do you think of this? I tried to spread out the light, and then even up the darkers around it. Let me know what you your thoughts are. I'd really like to get moving, so the more input, the better!!!

Esq, I'm wondering if you could put the hex's in a gradient design, starting with the really light ones and working your way down to the really dark?? Just an idea. I love how it's coming together!

I like it! What a great job!

I'm not familiar with gradiant patterns. I'll do a search on the internet, but if you can explain it differently? I'm so lame with this type of stuff. I'm a much better copier than original designer!

Well really I don't know that I was even using the right word :) I'm just thinking you could try placing the hexagons with the lightest at the top and then they could get darker as you went down. It looks to me like there are some really dark ones that could be at the bottom. It's just another layout I thought you may like to try, although everything you've shown so far looks great !

Just to follow up.......it looks like some are almost white, so put those at the top, then follow with the cream, then the ones that are mostly green, then green with some black, then green with more black, etc til you get to the completely dark ones

(I may not be seeing the colors correctly...you just never know on a computer :) but hopefully you get my idea????)

You are definitely seeing it right, and I understand what you are saying now. That will be a complete re-do. I will see if I can tweak this a little, and if it doesn't work, I'm going to try the "gradient" design. It's really quite a process to lay it out. I feel a bit lazy, like I don't want to start all over again. But I don't want to regret how I put it together either!

I hear you! I finally got sick of rearranging and just started sewing. It'll be a surprise to me how it turns out :)
