That is SOOOOOOOOOO sweet! If she didn't think you were worth it, she wouldn't have sent it. Maybe you can make her a little something in return! So glad you've been able to reconnect with someone in the past.

Wow, that's a nice lot of fabric there. She must not have any need for it or would have kept it. You never know, she may have a lot more she kept for herself. But...if you're still feeling guilty maybe add a gift certificate to a yarn store to the package you're sending her? You wouldn't want any pangs of guilt, however unnecessary, to bother you when using that fabric.

How wonderful that y'all were able to reconnect!! This reminds me of at Christmas where you've made something for someone, they give you what they're giving you and then you rethink what you're giving them because you just don't feel that it's enough, but when you do give them your gift, they love it!!
So I'm sure she'll love the yarn and be so thankful that you thought of her.. |

I recently reconnected with a friend of mine on Face Book. She likes my quilts and we got to talking...she knits... I have 2 lawn and garden bags of yarn from when my mom died. I offerred to send it to her and she said "I have a little bit of material I could trade you for it". So I though ok - but I was willing to give her the yarn for nothing in exchange. I came home today from errands and I had THREE - yes THREE Large Priority Mail boxes on my porch - FILLED WITH MATERIAL. Some of its already cut but 2 of the boxes were nothing but folds of material - nothing less than a yard. I was going to lay it out and take pictures but I'm so over whelmed...Ladies I kid you not this has to be 30 yards of uncut material and over 100 cut squares and 100 cut rectangles. I feel like the yarn I am sending her is no where near worth what she sent me. |
