Can't wait to see what you've done! You'll love it more each time you do it!

Here is the link with the finished product! Thank you for all the encouragement ladies!!

put on some music and relax! You'll do just fine. I totally "unquilted" a quilt that I did cause I wasn't happy with it, used a mustache trimmer and redid it!! So there are NO mistakes you can't undo

Great job :!:

Don't worry! You can do it!! Just "dive" into it. AND, don't worry if your stitches are different lengths.....you have to find your rhythm and it just takes time.

Jingle 08-25-2011 07:35 AM

Breathe and relax, if you don't relax, it will show up in the stitches.

mzmama 08-25-2011 07:45 AM

GOOD for you!!! Good luck, I have such issues (lead foot, I think, lol)

lil'snailquilts 08-25-2011 08:55 AM

my first attempt had many mistakes, sharp angles where there should be smooth curves, beautiful curves where there should have been angles, etc.... but in he end it was really quite pretty and not one of my friends (non quilters) could see an error. remember that unless we are judging a piece we see things as a whole. so forgive your mistakes and celebrate the whole. It will be beautiful.

sulyle 08-25-2011 08:58 AM

The best advice I got was to sing while you machine quilt. It occupies part of your brain so you're not so totally concentrated on your quilting and you get better flow. I was skeptical when the teacher told us that but it seems to help.

Hmm, interesting tip! I will have to try that next time. :)

I remember my first time doing that on a quilt, and I was scared too. But, I knew the only way to get over that and to learn was to just do it. I sure am glad I did. It's so much fun, and it gets easier everytime. Let us know how it goes.

TymeToShine 08-25-2011 08:27 PM

You're funny. What happens if you screw it up? You get a whippin'? Nah, just remember that if it gets away from you, take your foot off of the pedal! Now, take a deep breath and dig in! Vicky.

sylvia77 08-31-2011 02:44 PM

You can do this! Have confidence in yourself and get her done!

ging10ging 09-01-2011 05:51 PM
