Great looking machine, hope your happy and it works great, which I am sure it will.

Congrats on your new tool! (If it's a tool, it's not a frivolous purchase, right., lol). My hubby can always appreciate the value of a tool :-) and one of these machines is on my someday list.

Congratulations on ordering your Juki, and I'm sorry your Janome is sick. Right now my Janome is not working right, and with all the snowy weather here I haven't had a chance to take it in to the hospital. I do have an older Brother machine, that I'm using in a pinch for now, however, it's just not the same, especially when it doesn't have the needle up/needle down which I love and use a lot. I can relate to your quilting withdrawal, but hang in there, maybe your Janome can be fixed before your Juki arrives. My sympathies, it's never easy with a sick sewing machine.

You will LOVE this machine. It is awesome. Never misses a stitch. Have fun.

You will have a great working machine I have one and I have had it 2 1/2 years and I have mine on a Grace Start Rite Frame and I have done a lot of Lutheran Women Missionary League quilts for World Relief. they are only 60 by 80 but it is a good way to learn to FMQ I have done some bigger baby quilts also It works great. You won't be unhappy

Well I have a Juki and I wish I had lessons. I have it on a 12 foot frame and I constantly have thread and bobbin issues. I have only finished one quilt on it in 3 years.

Don't you just hate those withdrawals they are so painful. However a new machine congratulations and I think I would make sure to have a spare around so you won't have to ever deal with withdrawals again.

I too have been wishing for a Juki for some time now. What is the difference between the 2010Q and the 2010Qi? I've checked the website and am not seeing the difference.

I had just dropped my husband off at the airport - he was going on a 12 day business trip - when my sewing machine broke. Talk about panic setting in. I called the LQS, but didn't want to purchase an expensive replacement and not have it be what I wanted. Fortunately, I went on the local craigslist and some one had just posted an estate sale and had one similar to mine that had just broken and could be fixed for at least a week. Talk about calling and running right over. I was just glad to get it before the sale opened. It is now my machine for "up north" and I don't have to haul sewing machines cross country.

KimS, you really need at least two machines anyway. Since I got my Juki, which was just for FMQ, I hardly ever use my Elna. You won't be sorry.
