I've been reading about this machine on katiesquiltingcorner.com. I hope you don't have as much trouble as she has. I have a Husqvarna Quilt Designer and I love it. Good luck.

MamaO2011,
Congratulations on buying yourself a lovely new machine that you deserve to have, its a sewist's power tool!!!
I used to sell the Viking machines, love the Topaz 30! You can do quite a bit with it as it takes the bigger hoops. You can quilt with the Topaz 30, just take the embroidery unit off and slide the tool box on.
I bought the Sapphire 875, its great for quilting and garments too.

Its only money. You can put out a lot of love with that machine that the money can't buy. Hugs.

Go push some fabric through it. Play with your stitches. Play with your feet. Then give your husband a great big kiss for taking care of you better than you take care of yourself!
Then go marinate some meat for him! Sounds like a fun day!

Your hubby thinks that you are worth it! Breathe deep, then enjoy your new machine!!

You are worth it, you deserve it, I'm sure you know that by now. Besides life is too short and you never know what the future will bring. Enjoy your new machine and give extra hugs and kisses to hubby and the kids.

So I gave it a whirl! It is much more quiet than my Singer, and I love using the foot pedal to do needle down. It also takes up a ton of real estate on my sewing table, but it's okay. It sews beautifully. I tried the embroidery functions as well, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be! I think I'm going to have a long, happy relationship with Margaret. (I named her after a nickname that was bestowed on my mom when she was a kid. Not sure why it was Margaret - her name was Juanita Molly - but, when I took the boxes up to my sewing table, that name popped in my head, so there you go!)

Just think of all the money you will save having it...that is what my husband said when he bought mine and he was right!! I do my own FMQ'ing, make many things besides quilts now. Pillows, animal toys, table clothes, curtains...the decorative stitches make a huge difference...makes me want to make more. I do want to start making some dresses. Oh just have fun...no regrets!
