EB has used them in her quilts. It seems that there are a few F&P quilts that I remember Liz using the Tri Rec ruler.

I'm currently working on blocks for Emily's Wedding (F&P) using the tri rec ruler. I love the ruler and as a new quilter find it easy to use.

Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice also uses that ruler.

Tri Recs really helps with precision when you need it. No, I never paper peice with something I've cut with a Tri Recs.

The two blocks that come to mind right away that are made with the tri-recs rulers are the 54-40 or Fight block and the triangle in a square block. If you need a pattern for an ice cream cone, the triangle in a square block is great. Also, you can use the tri-recs rulers to make diamonds, like the ones in this border.

Thanks for posting this. I have that ruler set too. I bought it for a certain book and then sold the book without even remembering about the templates.

We used the tri-rec ruler/tool during a weekend quilt camp. The final product was a variation of "Storm at Sea" which came out beautifully. The true "trick" to this tool is cutting the little notches accurately. The pieces will match wonderfully, and there is no paper piecing. By the way, the finished quilt is now at the long-armer's, and it will be one of the ones which I will keep for myself. My wife even liked it!

When I purchased my Tri-Recs tools, it came with the cutest pattern for making fish so I made a very cute batik fish quilt.

I have used the tri-recs ruler set more than any other single ruler or ruler combination that I have and really like the squares that can be made with them. They are very versatile and I like that.
