I just bought the Tri-Rec tools set recently. I went to my guild's Quilt College last month and it was on the list of supplies for one of my classes. We made the "54-40 or Fight" block (traditionally pieced) and I really liked using the ruler. The notched end on the recs piece really makes it easy to match up accurately. Evidently they used to include printed directions and block ideas in older versions of the ruler set. Our teacher copied hers to distribute to the class. I'll be making more of those blocks to make mine into a throw size quilt, although I've also seen a version alternated with snowball blocks. It is a fun block.

Here is a link to a Bonnie Hunter Quilt. She gives instructions on how to use the Tri Recs and Easy Angle Rulers:

Well I better put those rulers on my To Do list. I have had them for a long time and after looking at the quilts you all are making with them its time I did something using them . thanks for the inspiration.
