Surely however large your stash, you find that you need that one extra fabric for your project!!! I am trying to cut larger pieces for my Linus quits so as to make them up faster though.
I'm off to Doughty's Roadshow on Sat and then the Festival of Quilts at Birmingham in five weeks .... lot of fabric to look at, and some may find it's way home with me :thumbup: |

My definition of stash is much less restrictive. It's whatever you have on hand, no matter the size, quality, or age. It can fit into a drawer or overflow several rooms. |

I am happy with my stash. I have a dozen storage containers, sweater storage size (I think that is what they are called) for my fabric that are full, then two of the three drawer plastic units and a few miscellaneous shoe box size storage containers for precuts. I have the thread,batting, tools, and accessories to make lots of quilts right from my stash. It just seems that my stash never gets reduced. I'm amazed, I can whip out 15 quilts, and my storage containers and plastic drawers are just as full. I just don't get it........only thing I can think of is the fabric fairy God mother visits my studio while I'm sleeping keeping it well stocked, now if she would just clean too...:D

I needed some pieces to finish a quilt in certain colors that I couldn't believe I didn't have in my stash. I cheated and bought the fabric at a rummage sale. I paid $1 for a plastic grocery bag of fabric and I got just what I needed. I still haven't bought anything new and my credit card appreciates it.
