I love my Kona solids. I've found that their solids are the best to work with. As for prints, I'm like others...I need to feel it to chose. Some Moda fabrics are thinner than others and you never really know if you are going to love it until to touch it.

after you find what lines of fabric you like, then you'll discover the different designers for each line - I anxiously await new lines from my favorite designer!

This thread is just one more reason to love QB. Just yesterday at the shop I passed along 'our' web address to a new quilter.

Michael Miller and Moda

I agree with GG. Moda & Red Rooster. They have a silky feel. Sometimes I can tell a fabric is Moda just by feeling it.

I think Blank fabrics is one of the best. Kaufmann and Hoffman are great and Moda of course.

I too have that tactile thing going on - want to feel it. Try to buy locally, will only buy on line after exhaustive local search. Alexander Henry, Kaufman, Hoffman, Westminster, Fabric Freedom are all consistent.

I really go by the feel of the fabric I very seldom go by the label
