Please bear with me as I am going to try posting pic of Rosita one more time to see if I can get the hang of this. Thanks. This is my $20. buy.

YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really care about the machine but I am SOOOO glad you finally got to upload the picture. It was very painful watching you struggle, and I'm sure it was more than annoying for you.

But the machine is beautiful and looks to be in great condition.

cabbagepatchkid 07-15-2011 10:14 AM

Wonderful!!! Is that a model 15? Wow....you sure did get a lot of accessories with it. I love looking through the drawers of the cabinets I buy, just to see what is in them....lol!

ETA: This guy has some really good tutorials for working on the old machines. It's a new blog but I have already learned quite a bit: http://vssmb.blogspot.com/2011/07/wh...e-singers.html

Elsie 07-15-2011 10:16 AM

congrats on getting the pictures in and on your new machine looks good

humbird 07-15-2011 10:21 AM

Beautiful machine. And the button hole maker is to die for! I had an old singer years ago with that same button hole maker. Made the best button holes ever! Sure wish I had that machine and the b/h attatchment!!

sweetpea 07-15-2011 10:23 AM

WOW! Great deal!!

Crabby Patty 07-15-2011 01:57 PM

Thank you everyone for all the support and kind words. I guess you could say I am bullheaded and don't like to give up on anything. The machine is in mint condition. I really don't think it has been used much. Not enough to wear off any of the decals anyway. I love it. Patti

auntpiggylpn 07-15-2011 02:23 PM

She's beautiful! Happy sewing~

Yooper32 07-16-2011 03:29 AM

Holy Catfish! And I thought I got a good buy on my 15. It had a full box of attatchments and a buttonholer and several bobbins with it and a nice Queen Qnn table, maple finish. But, you hit the Motherlode of goodies and the $20 really made me sick. Mine was $113. Oh, well, I was so excited to find mine and she sews a fine stitch. Oh, and mine has the padded bench with compartment to store the attatchments in too.

onthemove 07-16-2011 03:35 AM

So much! I never find deals like that. She is an oldy but goody. Congratulations on your new addition. She's beautiful!!!!

JoyjoyMarie 07-16-2011 03:39 AM

Good job overcoming the photo hurdle! I had to comment, because my DH found me a Singer in the same cabinet at a garage sale a few years ago, and it still rocks. It isn't quite the same model however- now I'm going to have to go researching and find out what I have. It sews great too, but I usually use my other machines.

Enchanted Quilter 07-16-2011 04:41 AM

Beautiful machine, Crabby Patty! Lots of goodies to go with it too.
I'm so glad you figured out how to post a picture. I have a 15-90K that I demotorized and I
treadle it.

I can either treadle mine or hand crank. As I already have a treadle machine, I'm thinking strongly about hand crank. That is if I can find one. Fun huh? Yours is a beauty too. Hope I can shine mine up like that but haven't had time to do anything to her yet.

My little Rosita was born on Dec. 10, 1956. She is wonderful. Love her to pieces. Thanks for asking.

Lady Jane 07-16-2011 09:35 AM

That was well worth $20.00!!!

rosiewell 07-16-2011 09:37 AM

that is a fabulous price. I just came back from a mega garage sale, did not buy anything, they had a old not vintage singer that look pretty beat up for $400.!?!?

incoming2me 07-16-2011 09:47 AM

It's fantastic!

Don't dwell on it too much.
I know it was very inconsiderate of them.
Some people are just clueless as to what making a quilt takes,
others are just subject to very poor manners.

jojosnana 07-16-2011 01:59 PM

Great buy. Enjoy.

Thanks! My Singer 201K can either be treadle or hand crank. It was an original hand crank, I like it better as a treadle, the grandkids use the hand crank. Its my avatar
picture.
