I think the first one has better contrast- for some reason to me the blocks don't seem to stand out as well with the second color combination.

I don't think it has a better contrast. I think it has a bolder contrast. The first one kind of reminds me of that famous Japanese painting of the tsunami wave.

Girl you definetily rock. What a lovely thought and Both quilts are very lovely. I like the wave effect you see. Love your avatar. I have a GD you has been working with a band and plays guitar.

I like the Blues...it reminds me of the waters off Japan and Tiawan. You have captured the sea at it's wildest, like the painting. Good luck and look forward to the finished quilt. Thanks,Kayrn

I'm a bluesy kind-a-girl! I like them both, but if I had to choose I would pick the first one. You just might have to make one of each!!!

Well I looked and looked and looked and looked at the two of them and they both are special. I love tourquise (well blue of any color). It seems that most people here like the second one better. For some reason it's the first one that calls to me. Did I tell you that I really looked at them. Good luck. Can't wait to see which one you do and find out how it turns out.
