i will start with 8 1/2"squares and when i get the time to get it going i will write a quick tutorial with measurements and everything if anyone wants, since it seems to be impossible to find the measurement anywhere onling. it might be a while before i get it done though, i have quite a few works in progress to complete before x-mas.

That would be great if you will post a tute. Love the idea of making my own ruler. Can't wait.

I am interested in making my own twister ruler too. So I am wondering ho0w your quilt turned out. With the 6 1/2" ruler and the 8 1/2" squares, did you have any problems??

Good luck. I had 10" blocks sewed together before cutting with the Twister. You waste a lot of fabric and you must be very careful to not cut beyond the edge of the Twister or you can cut into your next block. I had to use interfacing to cover the cuts in my next blocks but think it will be okay now that I quilted it.
