Two blocks beside each other same color

On Emily's wedding quilt,by Fons and Porter. I'm kinda split, maybe just be a little lazy too. Should I remove?

Beautiful quilt! I must not know what you are talking about because I don't see two blocks next to each other the same color. You know what they say....if you can't see it from a galloping horse don't worry about it. NO, I would not remove whatever it is you are seeing that I am not seeing.
I cannot find it. If it is not easily spotted by someone who is looking, I would not worry about it.
Had you not mentioned it, and I hunted for a while, I'd never have noticed. I wouldn't worry about it.
I've spent time looking also, and can't find "the offenders!" I see pinks and purples and blues, but they all flow so well that nothing jumps out! I say leave it!!
I don't see anything awry either. Besides it's a wedding quilt - so it two are alike - they should be together...
Beautiful quilt - I can never see things that are not right. It must be my old eyes, or maybe not very critical.
Leave it! The quilt is lovely, and I had to hunt and hunt to find the possible offending blocks (still not sure it's the ones you're looking at, though). Definitely not worth the effort to change.
You're probably the only one it will bother. I think it's gorgeous just the way it is. Don't mention it and no one will notice.
I don't see it.
There's nothing on that quilt that I would change. It's lovely.
I can't see it. So don't tell anyone! Beautiful quilt.
I don't see it. It's beautiful! Call it done, they will love it!
It ia a beautiful quilt. Don't worry about it.
Very pretty and nothing is jumping out at me so leave it as is!
I don't see it either. With everything separated by white, no two colors are sewn to each other anyway.
Towards upper left corner - two very dark ones with small white design???
If it bothers you - it would not take all that long to change it out. If it does not bother you - then why did you ask? (If it is the ONLY pair-up in the whole top - you could leave it as an I spy thing and award a prize to the first person that spots it.) I would not have gone out of my way looking for duplicates if you had not mentioned it, though. :-) |
Your quilt is awesome. I doubt anyone will ever notice the duplicate blocks unless you point it out to them. I would just let things be and not give it another thought.
This is one really, really beautiful quilt and I can't find anything wrong. Just leave it alone. It is gorgeous.
I would only change it if it really bothers you and causes your eye to always go to that area. I did find it-after I spent time finding it. When you are doing scrappy it is always easy to zero in an a 'problem'. Quilting is supposed to be fun. If you didn't point it out, would it be seen by most people who look at your quilt. I doubt it judging by the comments you have received.
I can't find it, so my recommendation would be to ignore it.
i don't see it either... nothing to change IMHO
Are you talking about the pink center blocks?
I'm with the others, beautiful quilt, but I sure don't see any "mistakes"
The only thing I see is a beautiful quilt someone put a lot of time and effort into for some special people or person. As another stated about the galloping horse.
Bearisgrey, You have the same reasoning as my husband. It must bother me. The red is the darkest color in the quilt too. I guess now is the time to change it. Thanks.
M. I. Late, you sure made me smile, so true.
Sval , The pink ones get a pass, it's the dark red ones in the upper right. It's not really a mistake. I tried to keep the. same print away from each other. I think my lesson learned for this quilt would be,I should of kept my color tones all the same. The dark balance really played with my head. Quilting sure can teach us a lot about our self. A couple more scrapy quilts and l'll be cured. Thanks

I don't see it plus I won't spend time looking for it. It is beautiful. Sometimes we just need to stand back from our work and see it as most people, recipients, will see it. Easier said then done, I know.
What a Beautiful project.I agree with everyone else...unless you point it out, no one would notice. Time to move on. :)
I "might " see it, sure looks perfect to me! Beautiful quilt!
All I see is a beautiful quilt.
I agree with others; I looked and I too cannot find it. It's gorgeous. Go with it as is.
Beautiful quilt and I agree with all the comments to leave as is!
I "read" the blocks across and I didn't find the offender, so leave it be.
It's beautiful the way it is. I can't spot your 'design element'!
Looks perfectly scrappy to me.
Beautiful quilt. It took me forever to see what you were talking about (even after you told us where you think the problem is). I would just say that this is the Bride and Groom. Staying together side by side even among all the different things that life will throw at them. You have made a super quilt and you should be proud. BrendaK

NO! I had to search and search and search to find it (I think I found what you are talking about). If it was that hard for me to find, the folks you are giving it to will never notice. And if it is pointed out to them by some mean person, you will call it a design element - not an error. We quilters need to stop being so hard on ourselves. The quilt is beautiful and a wonderful gift that will be treasured.
