Made the Josie's Star a couple of months ago. Still need to finish it. The other one I started last week. Still need to add borders and quilt. I haven't really quilted one on my own yet. Scares me but am going to try.

Your quilts are really pretty. Don't be afraid, just jump in and away you go. I just sewed 2 pieces of backing together and took an hour to cut all the threads out. Sewed it wrong side out! ugh.

Swan Song 08-19-2012 01:51 PM

The star is so pretty, great use of colors. I love the pumpkin! Was that a panel? He's the cutest thing! Great job!

Earleen 08-19-2012 02:47 PM

They are both really cute. I love your pumpkins feet.

AuntieD 08-19-2012 03:28 PM

sewbeadit 08-19-2012 03:48 PM

Very nice. Don't be afraid, do it and enjoy it.

pattypurple 08-19-2012 03:52 PM

Both are great. I especially like the star. Great colors

snownannie 08-19-2012 04:31 PM

Yes the scarecrow was a panel. I saw this posted on here last year but did mine differently.I searched ebay for along time to find it.

snownannie 08-19-2012 04:32 PM

joyce888 08-19-2012 04:38 PM

nygal 08-20-2012 04:40 AM

pinebeltquilter 08-21-2012 04:44 AM

They are so Pretty, each in it's own way. Really love the star!!

ellenmg 08-21-2012 05:03 AM

Really nice job! I love both of them...I have a Fall table runner that did not get finished for last Fall, and looks like it may not get finished for this Fall either!!!!

DJinSC 08-21-2012 05:43 AM

I love them both! The star is so bright and vibrant. And the pumpkin is just my style. If it took you so long to find it on e-bay, I guess I don't stand a chance in being able to find it. Darn.

linynp 08-21-2012 06:23 AM

Oh they are lovely. I especially like the pumpkin! What pattern?

bibi 08-21-2012 07:00 AM

Oh, they are both so lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Deborahlees 08-21-2012 07:16 AM

Do a pratice throw away piece first. The two you have finished are small enough you should be able to FMQ with out too much difficulty...if you use a matching thread when ever possible your quilting will blend in and the tiny mistakes will not be as noticable......GO for it....the tops will do no one any good on a closet shelf :D

butterflies5518 08-21-2012 07:45 AM

Adorable! Both are great - good luck with your quilting adventure.

Helen S 08-21-2012 08:12 AM

Both are great, but LOVE the pumpkin quilt, especially the feet! lol
Is there a pattern for the pumpkin quilt or is this your own creation?

carolynjo 08-21-2012 08:53 AM

Both are good, but I love the colors in your star. It just glows!

AllAboutScraps 08-21-2012 11:09 AM

Really like your work. I jumped in and FMQ'd my own quilts. The first time I didn't know what I was getting in to and just did it..........now I want it to come out like the really good LAers do them.........but I don't have the LA. Still trying though. Go ahead - give it a try! Bet you will do great! Post the final results please!

snownannie 08-21-2012 11:48 AM

I saw this on the quilt board last year. The one I saw was done with 2" squares. I used 3" finished squares. The scare crow is a panel and I really had to search for it. Found it on Ebay. It is a Daisy Kingdom panel Called "Patchwork Pete Door Panel" I just fell in love with it.

debquilts2 08-21-2012 12:03 PM

very nice quilts love the pumkin one

snownannie 08-21-2012 12:03 PM

There is one panel listed on ebay. Blue moon books and antiques I believe. Good luck to whoever is interested.
