I stopped counting at 38---most are class samples though, when I do a class I make 1 sample from start to finish then do several more in different color ways to show what can be done. Do not layer and finish as tops are much lighter to haul around than a lot of finished projects.

Pretty kitty on your avatar. I had one just like yours for 18 years. Orange kitties are the best!

So sad, so sad. I don't even want to think about it. Ever so often, I'll invite the Mission Circle at my church to come over and "thin out my stash". They love to make the trip, I fix a light snack and drag out the bags they can have. they sit around the dining room table and go through everything. I tell them to take whatever they want, they always end up taking it all.
Servicemen from our church; new mothers; our seniors in nursing homes; childrens hospital; and the sick and shut-in members are the recipients of quilts made from the UFOs, scraps, and extra blocks. |
5 to 10 - I love scrappy quilts so whenever I pull a fabric to cut a strip or square from, I always cut for my next several projects. I have so much fabric that I don't want to get out 50 fabrics and only cut a 1.5" strip from it then put it away - talk about waste of time in my opinion! I also do Bonnie Hunter's Leaders and Enders so I'm constantly working on several projects simutaneously. Plus I get bored working on the same project so I rotate between several at the same time. And I've got a charm quilt going as well which will take awhile to accumulate all the fabric...
I have around 20, not counting the ones I have posted for sale.
i have shoe boxes of some cut and ready to assemble, plus others.....maybe 40
I am afraid I would shock myself if I counted them so I'll just say I have several.
I've only got two..one already layered and awaiting machine quilting, the other waiting to be layered. The only other one I've got is the baby quilt I'm currently hand-quilting for my grandbaby due this fall.
I'm normally one of those who tends to finish one project before starting another so this seems like a lot to me  |
This is sad; most of my projects are still in my mind.
I have made lots of potholders is as far as I go. I have made a few simple tie quilts. I did repair two old quilts, I believe, my mom got somewhere. My daughter (23) is working on her first pin wheel. She says I am best at supplying the tools to make a quilt. I encourage her. |
I have more than I want to have but it is hard not to when I see something I like.
Who has time to count. I've quilting to do! Also don't want to put a damper on current wips.
I'm pleading the 5th on this! LOL....
over 100
Right now I am working on 2 memory quilts for nephews (brothers), a baby quilt, BOM for grandaughter, Mystery quilt for Grandson, two to bind, a Gone with the Wind BOM, and need to make 3 toddler quilts - have the patterns, but not all the material yet. Not sure what else is in the works at this time.
I don't dare take a count.
I agree...too many to confess to right now....
only 2 left yohoooo
too many to count - I need to retire so I can get everything done
the more the merrier I say!! having UFO's is part of the fun
of it all. You never get bored and you always have a project to go to. I revel in all my works in progress. Starting something new is so much fun!!!! |
I'm so glad I'm not the only one with lots of UFOs :-D Layered, need to be quilted, 3 laps--A Star is Born, Dorothy Got Whacked, Checkers. WIPs (Christmas Tabletopper, Shatter N Sew) that have been set aside to work on BOM of Sylvia's Bridal Sampler.
WDPs (wanna do projects) 3 Wallhangings--Family Tree w/photos, Sewing Room Stash, Floozie. 2 Laps--Party Pirates (stack n whack), Bald Eagle (from deceased friend's shirts). 2 Full-sized--Spangled Cabins & Covering America. OMG I'll never get these done in my lifetime  That's not even counting any I may see in the future that I HAVE to do because I've fallen in love with them or any baby quilts that need to be made. I've had 4 of those in the past 8 months :) And I'm still working 45-50 hours/week. |
Oops! I forgot one WDP. I want to make a memory/photo quilt for my best friend's (of 55 years) 70th birthday next year.
I have 4.
Embarrassed to say I have No idea too many to count LOL!!! and I keep adding more
Oh, ok here it goes.........ah. Use to have like seven or eight if they are still in view but made a promise to myself that I would finish all UFO's before starting another. Now, I just have to keep my promise to myself and I am going to try very hard to do that. Have a great day.
Several, but am gradually finishing them. Have to make 20 Christmas quilts for family so I need to get those UFOs out of the way. Have stopped buying fabric and am shopping my stash. Will have enough Christmas fabric left for next year's quilts too. (most of them will be from fat quarter patterns)
Middle daughter brought her stash of Christmas fabric over and we were going to trade - trying to cure that nothing goes with anything I have. Discovered we had the same fabrics. Of course, we did, we went shopping together! |
I don't have UFO's, I classify all my projects as WIP's. The only time there will be a UFO is when I decide that I will never complete the project and I pack it up and take it to Goodwill.

I have spent the last few months trying to clear out my UFOs, and I am just about there. Got one on the machine now and one ready for the machine to be quilted. That leaves one more top to be sandwiched and quilted. THEN I will be free to start something new. Haven't been able to make a decision on the "something new", so that's why I'm cleaning out!!!
Oh! And my casket quilt is still waiting to be basted, but I'm sure as heck hoping that there is no hurry for that one! :)
I am not going to look! there is 3 or 4 that I can think of. Don't worry about it. Be happy!
Apparently way too many~!
A lot of times, I start out the new year with working on UFO's on a rotation. It works really well. This year I couldn't do that yet as I had so many new ones to make. |
YIKES. I'm in trouble
mine are dwindling down with the challenge, but we do have plenty to look forword to completting.
