I would sash the blocks - they look great! I love scrap quilts.

Not bad at all. You seem to have the same dark fabric in each block so that ties all the blocks together but sashing would really be helpful.
Good luck, Kutnso |
Looks great to me too. If it were me, I would use a solid or near solid as the sashing. Probably doesn't need more prints.
Enjoy! |
I do agree with you, they are ugly blocks, I don't think this pattern was meant to be so scrappy, the background fabrics need to be a solid, off white color to bring out the pattern.
Too many large prints, checks, for the small pattern pieces. I would not waste anymore time or fabric making anymore blocks. Ugly blocks =an ugly quilt. Spend your time and fabric on a new project. |
I would alternate them with solid blocks of fabric.

If you join the blocks you will have 3 patterns going on, which I think will unify the quilt. I personally love the colors you have used. Do you have enough to make a top? Another solution would be to put it on point with a solid color block between them. Nice quilting perhaps a tulip type design in the solid color block will add to the overall look. Quilting sure takes a lot of thinking, don't you agree?

First of all, it is not ugly. It is gay and pretty.
I think you should use either pale yellow or pale green sashing. (I really would prefer the yellow) Keep going this will turn out to be really really nice! |
I think it looks pretty. And I'm sure someone will just love it.

I like it! It will look great when all put together.
