It's always something, isn't it? There's a German saying "da ist der Wurm drin" (translated: There is a worm in it) which is used when no matter what you do, something goes wrong. Looks like you got a worm in the paisley. (LOVE the fabric)

I feel your pain. Just took out quilting on a red bird Christmas quilt ( 20 hours) It only took about one hour to quilt. I'm not a big fan. Only good part was it was really cold so I used the quilt to cover up with while taking out. I have a friend that uses a face shaver ( the little ones that look somewhat like a pencil )she says only way to go.will not cut anything but thread.
