I hope your seam ripper or whatever "unsewing" implement you choose to use doesn't take on a life of its own and do something bad to that lovely quilt top!

It's a beauty, even before the quilting happens. :-) Your stitches are good and that will be one awesome quilt. Kudos to you for "unstitching." Please share when you're done.

This would be my choice also. The quilting that is done is lovely. It wouldn't be too hard to echo that for a row or two.

A pretty quilt and quilting. But if you feel like you need to unquilt, it's not too bad. I've done it. Not actually fun, but not as bad as I thought it would be. It would be nice to save the good parts though.

Joining the others with compliments on the colors and your quilting! Lovely. May I ask how you marked your quilting design, please? That is on dark colors so what shows up for you when you are stitching? I sometimes wonder about hand quilting from the back--if the back is a light color.

Been there and had to do unquilting. I made a Hidden Wells quilt for my GGD. I did QAYG method and also was using the Glo in The Dark thread from Superior Threads. On the very first block that I finished quilting, for whatever reason, I decided to press it. Well the thread melted in many places and I had to remove it all. I did the FMQ and so stitches went from tiny to large. I did get it done. It is a slow process but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

That is beautiful fabric. The quilting looks good to me.

Can you leave the part that is quilted alone and take out the pins and re-sandwich it??? It will be a little cumbersome to handle, but you will not have to remove the original quilting and can go from there.
