The mom has a fairly modern style and they named the baby Paisley Rose.
I really love these fabrics together. I may change one of the grays if I can find a gray paisley. Right now I only have a fat quarter of the brown with the butterflies but I'll get more of it and make it the accent border. I'll use my standard pinwheel pattern. |
Beautiful! Should be a very elegant baby quilt. Can't wait for my daughter to have a baby she will have much the same tastes!
I think it is beautiful and will last the child past infant/toddler stage.
That is going to be very pretty.
Looks like it will be a very feminine rich looking baby quilt...fit for a queen. Post a picture...would love to see the finished quilt.
Any color goes.........lets remember that not all babies are blond haired and blue eyed. I have made crib quilts with wild animals, jungle prints, bright colors. Had a friend tell me one time that babies recognize bright colors before they see pastel. The colors in the post above are certainly in the pastel category, their patterns are not traditional
baby prints. |
I bet the quilt will turn out beautiful! Please post a pic when you finish it so we can "ooooh & aaawww" over it.
Lovely and serene!
I think it's going to be beautiful!!!
can't wait to see that one
I'm sure it will be a beautiful quilt, I like the colors.
That is going to be very sophisticated and elegant - just like the baby's name. Please show us a pic when completed.
That is going to be a beautiful elegant quilt. I love the fabric you've selected.
The baby can use this quilt as she gets olders. Love the colors!
I love the fabric! It's so dainty and elegant!
The colors are so relaxing. This baby is going to snuggle in and "sleep like a baby." :-)
I like them very much.
Bet you can hardly wait to get started with such a beautiful pallet.
I have the same focus fabric you do....love it!!!! That will be a beautiful quilt!!!
Love the colors; they're elegant and soothing. Kind of what I plan to do for one of my nieces and her hubby. Can't wait to see the photos:-)
Do you have a pattern for the baby quilt? I just finished one with 9 patch and pinwheels but used pastel pink, purple, sage green and a spot of yellow. Taking to the quilter tomorrow.
That's lovely! I really like unusual baby quilt colors--this one will be just beautiful!
Beautiful choices!
Love those fabrics, they're going to make a beautiful quilt!
I like them, a lot.
It'll be beautiful. Don't forget to post pics so we can see the end results!

Agree - it's a lovely color palette. Do post a pic when you're done.
Very pretty!
I agree that this is going to be a beautiful quilt. You chose really pretty fabrics. Please post pics as you go!
Lovely! Who says babies need soft pastels or brilliant primary colors? I am in process of completing a white, turquoise of several hues and prints and an odd green. (Will be posted in a couple of days.) It is lovely but not traditional baby colors. The mom is a Vera Bradley fan and it is very reminiscent of Bradley colors. Mom, DD, loves the choice. Make it any color you wish and enjoy the beauty of your work and efforts.
Beautiful colors that will last way past baby age.
Personally I really can't see this as a baby quilt. Where are the 'cute' baby fabrics. Who cares what mom is, this is a crib quilt for a baby.
These look like fabrics for a granny quilt. |
love those colors
This is going to be so pretty. Love the baby's name - Paisley.
Picturing that in pinwheel....very nice!! Colors are perfect.
Like the color combination-looks antiqy(anteekee) to me
I think it would be lovely and very well received. Go into many of the retail stores and brown is in for babies and children. If you feel a little color is called for, pale pink or a light teal would look very nice added to what you already have. IMO
Please post a picture of the finished product.
this is going to be a beautiful quilt, looking forward to seeing a pic
