and because of your encuragement I entered my quilt. Last Friday/Saturday was the exhibition (very small scale, 40 quilts where entered)

First they had the art quilts hanging and all I could think was OMG.............I should have kept my wallhanging to myself!! And the contemporary once!! wow..

Then I saw it at the end of the room and I made first prize in the traditional quilt categorie!?!? I still cant believe it and I also dont know why - all the other wallhanging where so much prettier, well - most of them :oops:
There was a list at the back of the quilt and I get to read that as soon as I pick it up.
They will also put the pics on their homepage and as soon as that happens I will set a link.

I might never be a quilt artist but "mastering" the craftsmanship of traditional quilting after starting less than two years ago makes me a tiny bit proud :lol: even if it is only by swiss standards (one of the judges is american)
