what luck!! good for you. It pays to be a little chatty with your fellow shoppers sometimes doesn't it?

I had to chuckle when you mentioned there was yards of red and who would want it. I am making a mindless, wonky, scrappy and was thinking of sashing it in black. My DH said, why not another colour (this is going on the marital bed and will be QS). I said, cool, you choose and while you're out and about you pick up the fabric....Well, he picked red and I now have metres and metres of the stuff....

Anyway, I am really enjoying this thread...reading about all that is in there is almost as good as my own "finds".
What a good home this bundle has found, you seemed to have most of it earmarked for projects. I think a previous poster was spot on...sell what you can't/don't want to use. All that sorting, washing and ironing deserves a little cash back!

If you dont want to put in classifieds right away you can pm me and I will give you my email

Looking forward to your sales thanks cheryl

I agree that she has no obligation to "give it away" to anyone. She drove over there, paid for it, loaded/unloaded it, is now washing it, ironing it, sorting it, etc. It is hers.

OP...enjoy your fabric, and what you don't want...I'm sure QB members will relieve you at a decent price (or even not so decent--I've seen up to $6/yard for fabric that I know cost about $4 at Walmart originally.)

:)

To the person who asked, I think PIF means "Pay it forward" meaning, I believe..."give it away".

I do not believe she needs to feel like she has to "give it away"--any of it. Making it available for us to buy would be good fortune for most here.

Enjoy going through all that fabric, it's better than Christmas, isn't it!!!!

Too bad you can't contact the SD or is it WI branch since they said that they have too many quilts in storage and aren't accepting anymore.

Does your Q of Valor ever have that problem? because it might actually be smart to contact the other one and see if they want to share with some farther south. Probably the northern most ones have more quilts because the winters are so long and people stay inside more when the weather is cold.

How many quilts a year do you all make/distribute? I'm just curious...not trying to hijack this thread...

Lucky you! That's more than what I can stuff in my sewing space.
Have fun with it.

OMG!! How awesome, CONGRATS on your find.

You are an inspiration to the rest of us. With the cost of material going up by the minute we should buy all we can and hoard it.

Ohhhhhh lucky you! congratulations. It'll be a lot of work to get it organised but sooooooooo well worth it. Well done.
