Okay. Here are boxes that I put it all in and there is still probably 4 or 5 banana boxes left in the Van. I have to get some more boxes tomorrow.
I don't know how much fabric there is in there for sure, but I DO know that I quit adding it up after I got to 200 yards...and that is NOT COUNTING a gazillion panels. I know I won't use all of it, but I know for a fact that there is enough fabric to not only make a ton of quilts, but backing fabric also. In total so far there are 24 banana boxes stuffed full and a duffle bag and an over sized tote bag. Heres a picture of the boxes. Im leaving them on my patio as I want to wash every single bit of the stuff. This is only 12 of them as the other 12 are in the washers up in the laundry room. I am going to be washing fabric for a year!! lol |
Wow, thanks for sharing your photo with us, great job on your cool find for all of that fabric
|
You got all that from Walmart? Ok how did you do that?
|
I must have missed the first part. You went and bought all this fabric? amazing.

$1 a yard? Boy you certainly scored. Well, what you don't like, you can always offer up on here and use the money for some stuff you do like or patterns or batting. What comes from our craft goes back into our craft. $$$ That's what I tell my DH anyway. If I sell something - the money goes right back into my little money pit. :)

Isn't it wonderful to sew from someone else's stash. I get bored with mine sometimes....always the same colors. it must be so exciting opening up the boxes to see what's inside. Happy quilting.

Fantastic! I cannot imagine that much material for starters and then the price is outstanding!! What a wonderful lady to sell for such a price! I can't wait to see what is unearthed and shown here on the board! Whew...

That is a SCORE X 10!!!! What a haul! I'm sure you deserve it!

That's an awesome story. It was ment to be for sure. Look forward to seeing some of the fabric. Very happy for you.

What a treasure and blessing!!!! Nothing coincidental about the two of you being at that specific Wal-Mart at the very same time..... looking at the fabric.... etc. You were meant to have it.
Have fun!!!!! |
I think you hit the jackpot!!!!

I always get so excited when I bring new fabric home, I bet your super excited!!!

That is wonderful and I'm happy for you, but at the same time it looks like you are going to have a ton of work sorting through it all! I'm sure that in the end you will have earned every yard! It is nice to see good things happen, I'm so glad you shared!

There is a few projects she must have started and never finished. So I will finish them they are aprons and pot holders, oh and placemats that she cut all out but never did anything with them. There is an Elvis tote bag that she cut out that I WILL never finish because I don't like Elvis. I have emptied out 2 of the boxes so far besides what I ran through the washing machines. I still have to fold and iron that. Should have only washed a couple of boxes and then ironed and folded that but noooooooo I had to put it all in the washers. A lady at my sewing group said she will help me iron all of it if I bring it to sewing next week so I am pretty sure that I will take her up on that offer. There is alot of Kiddie fabrics and Christmas Fabrics. And who in their right minds needs 15 yards of RED FABRIC. lol
|
Wow, Wow, Wow...that's a lot of fabric. What fun you'll have going through it...Treasure Hunt.
|
WOW!
|
OMG...Now thats alot of fabric :D ...Nice, very nice
|
oh that is going to be so much fun going through :)
|
After washing all that fabric, you will be opening your fabric store, right? lol
