I'm wondering about something that might reflect light--clear Scotch tape or clear fingernail polish?? I agree with you that the sitd foot is a wonderful invention but that little guide needs to be more easily seen, too. Too bad it isn't "silver" like the rest of the foot!

if they could vertically 'stripe' the metal blade, that would cover both light and dark fabrics.

If that doesn't work I was able to find a stitch in the ditch foot for my Pfaff. You could check with your dealer or on ebay. Mine has a small guide on the foot that is easy to see.

I have marked some of my feet with light nail polish. So much easier to see the little marking lines on
some of them. I also "paint" where it gives the letter for the foot. Easier for these old eyes. |
I have used chalk with good results in the past.

The blade on my 1/4" foot is black, so I painted it white with nail polish....one coat has held up for several years now and makes a big difference.

I'm using the "Stitch in the Ditch" foot to do some quilting using my Brothers Dream Machine. It works great but the guide on it is black and many of the fabrics in my quilt are darker and I'm having trouble seeing the guide. Does anyone have an idea on how to make this guide more visible on the dark fabrics. I thought about "painting" it with white correction fluid but I'm afraid I won't be able to remove it. Help!

Wrap it with glow tape. Choice of yellow, pink or orange neon. That should show up and is removable.
