Using "Stitch in the ditch" foot to quilt on domestic sewing machine
I'm using the "Stitch in the Ditch" foot to do some quilting using my Brothers Dream Machine. It works great but the guide on it is black and many of the fabrics in my quilt are darker and I'm having trouble seeing the guide. Does anyone have an idea on how to make this guide more visible on the dark fabrics. I thought about "painting" it with white correction fluid but I'm afraid I won't be able to remove it. Help!

How about a small piece of masking tape?

I will try it. Thanks

Little dab of "white out"?

Yes, a little piece of masking tape or a white envelope address sticker.

White nail polish would come off easily with non-acetone polish remover. I have used red polish on my machine before & it comes off no problem on metal. It should also be fine on most plastics since the nail polish remover bottle is plastic.

On dark fabric, I usually use the white powder chalk. I have never had a problem with removing the white powder chalk, just stay away from the colored powder chalk.

My answer to many of life's problems - Duct tape!
I can't remember what store I was in, but they had a huge selection of different colors and patterns. I know you would only need the teeniest, tiniest piece though. Remember, 96% of a home's problems can be solved with duct tape or WD-40! |
And super glue:)
