I love your set up. It is similar to what I had for 6 years.
I had two Bernina 200's side by side & my computer next to the left one. I usually had one or both embroidering at the same time & I could watch over everything & do e-mail .
I traded both of them on a new Bernina 830 which is a dream machine but I still miss having two. Thea in Indiana

I confiscated my kids old computer desk. It sits in a corner and has two wings. It also has a drop down in the front for a keyboard which is very handy for putting the sewing machine lower so the item being sewn has support.

Mine is set in a U shape too, I bought 3 computer tables that were on clearance, set them in the U shape, and have 3 machines set up. My embroidery, my "Beast", (a Janome 1600P, it only does straight stiching), and my serger. It's so easy to use them this way. I have a sewing chair with wheels so I can just turn from one to the other. It's nice to have my embroidery machine running while I am sewing on the beast at the same time!

I inherited my older sisters when she passed this summer, I keep hers for regular sewing and I keep mine set up for quilting, I don't have a sewing room per se, I use a corner of our spare bedroom so everyting gets spread all over the kitchen counter and table..LOL

Awesome! You are such a lucky duck. I live in an apt at the moment and my quilting area is also the living room so I have to clean up and put away constantly. Frustrating but still worth it to be able to quilt every day.

Cool setup. Oooohh! love the quilt in your chair, can we see more of it? Or is someone already enjoying snuggling up in it?

Whatever works. I started on the kitchen table in a small mobile home; I think in the house I've been in 4 different room plus I spent a number of year under the stairs in the basement in my sewing cubby-hole (but it was MY space.) Only after my husband died and the kids were all gone did I take over a whole bedroom and turn it into a sewing room (also computer room/office area). I still keep a single bed in the sewing room which I sleep on when company comes and I put them in my room.

There really isn't anymore--it is a pillow I set on to make me high enough my shoulders don't ache when I spend hours at the sewing machine.

I tend to hunch my shoulders, I'm short and my table/desk is tall. Thinkin' about turning it over and sawing off a few inches of leg!!!
