An inexpensive alternative is to tape a straw to the crevice tool attachment for your vacuum cleaner. I have the mini vacuum kit *somewhere* in the new house but, since I haven't found it yet, I just use the straw every once in awhile.

I bought my attachment set at Walmart. Comes with about six attachments and works great on my little portable vacuum.

I should add that, when using the straw taped to a crevice tool, you want to use the weakest suction possible with your vacuum. On mine I open the air vent all the way.

i have the attachment kit- have had it for a couple years now- i love it - it works very well- has a variety of attachments all just the right size for my machines & computer-i purchased my kit from Nancy's Notions- it was under $20- and since it costs me $70 to have my machine cleaned at the dealer's i figure it more than paid for itself the day it arrived. i think Clotildes also carry them- and Keepsake Quilting. there are probably other places- i just haven't paid attention since i have one-

I bought my attachment kit at Lowe's. I found it in the Shop-Vac section. Vacuum hoses are standard 2 1/4 inches so they fit my home vacuum perfectly. And no shipping charges!

This just came up in my email. I haven't tried this product, but have bought things from the site and they've been good. http://www.miniatures.com/Micro-Vacu...it-P17671.aspx
