Sulky Blendables is a cotton varigated thread.
They have several colors to choose from. :-)

I second this! This thread is awesome to work with and I have never had any breakage.

I have 3 or 4 LARGE spools of Coats & Clarks variegated cotton that I found at JoAnn's - used one on a baby quilt and it went fine (pale pastel gradations in "baby" colors).

I've got King Tut, and probably every other brand of variegated thread you can find - I prefer using them because then I don't have to fret about changing thread color when I'm quilting.

I don't know that I'd use variegated thread on SID quilting. It won't really show up.

I use King Tut or Signature.
SID won't show the thread.

I use King Tut also. I would put the variegated in the bobbin if you will SID so it will add interest to the back and be noticed.

Instead of doing SITD, I use a rounded, meandering stitch that is one of the programmed stitches on my machine. I do it over the seam so you get to see the thread and you also don't have to worry about your lines being "straight". It also "strengthens" the seam area because it covers the seam, so no chance of the seam coming apart.

(Sometimes my seams are less than 1/4"...just because I'm trying to make the block square and I might be a thread or two short on one particular piece. I know, I know...I'm probably the only one with this problem!)

I didn't know there were so many options. Now I need to find one in blue, yellow and pinks.

I love that wave stitch. I sneak over and use my friend's machine because she has it and I don't. And I use the same technique for "squaring up" small inaccuracies in the fabric edges...thought everyone did it.

King Tut, and I think the color you are looking for is called "Baby Tut" or "Little Tut". LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this thread!

I love using Variagated thread. YLI thread is good, King Tut, Gutermann makes some too.
