I'm watching this one. I love variegated thread for quilting and Connecting Threads doesn't carry it anymore.

I use STAR thread - it is from Coats and Clark and I find it at Beverly's.

If it's truly SID, do you even see the thread? Is it worth the cost of the variegated?

The King Tut brand of Superior Threads is great for maschine and hand quilting. But I agree with Kate: probably you won't see much of the quilting when you do quilting in the ditch.

I use RA but want to try the superior
I love using the varigated threads.
used YLI but I had alot of shreading in my LA
but used it for FMQ on my DSM and it worked fine.
I agree that for in the ditch it won't have much of an impact, looks great with a pattern or just a meandering.

Aurifil and Wonderfil have some nice variegated threads. The spools last a long time. I got at least 3 quilts out of my first spool.

I used a Superior Brand King Tut and loved it for machine quilting my fall half log cabin.
