That's what mine looks like. It looks like you use yours. The bobbins are strange to me.

Those bobbins are called shuttle bobbins. Very different from the ones we are used to. Someone posted a link to a tutorial on how to load and install them.

Therese, a "Blackside" is a machine that was made with little or no chrome or nickle plating. During WWII, these metals were needed for the war effort, and the cosmetics of the sewing machines were "secondary". The faceplate, and other parts of the machine were black instead of shiny silvery color. There are also blackside attachments...
