Hope all are enjoying your sewing time and getting lots done. I'm pre cutting for sew along weeks to come. Making good progress!
|
I just delivered 2 more quilts for the Quilt Expo show in Madison next week. The other one I had to drive up to Beaver Dam. Now I’m thinking of going down and making a zipper pouch for my friend that I’m seeing on Tuesday.

This is for you SBG!! :) And thanks for the info on the pattern. I'm enjoying making it a lot!! Gosh, I haven't knitted anything small in ages ! I made the larger size because I wasn't sure if the real small one would get much use. I'm new at this Grandma thing haha Okay so when you feel better we want a peek of what you're doing! A head, unstuffed body and leg, so far. The shoe will be a 'mary jane' style, with a black strap across the instep. Her dress will have some of the pink in it.

Sewbiz..I use the Appliquick method but take it one step further by cutting the center's of interfacing out so pieces aren't stiff. Then I machine sew them using a teeny tiny zigzag of same color thread or monofilliment depending on project. There are youtubes on the method, if interested.

You are going to be rolling in grandbabies soon! |
Here is my progress. Two more webs to sew the long seams on, and then I can put it all together.

Sewbiz, the bunny is so cute—though he really oughta pull himself together!
Thanks for the compliment on my quilt. It’s not my typical style but my DIL gave me the jelly roll a few years ago. When I saw this tutorial, I pulled out the JR and had fun. I would be the happiest woman in the world to be rolling in grandbabies! My DIL with the twins wants six kids! My daughter wants both biological and adopted kids. Son and DIL 2 want at least two. My 17 year old has a desire to be a good dad someday, although he hasn’t specified a number. |

Macybaby - that is just awesome!!
SewBizGirl, so adorable! Love Susie's little sweater too, I can crochet but can't knit worth a darn. Teen - your appliques are so pretty! Got the blocks done and trimmed, a couple seams needs a resew as a few of the white squares are slightly wonky, these are finishing at 2 3/4" each (which is why I tried the strip sets for the narrow pieces), but later, I'm famished and haven't even figured out what to eat yet. I'm enjoying everyone's projects. In one of those inconceivable moments, I am currently on schedule for my ambitious plans.
The postcards are assembled. The border size has been decided and cut. Most of the fabric for the back has been washed and ironed. Just ironing left. Edit: In the bottom corner you can see a block that says Mom, basically in an American traditional tattoo style. I have little jokes that I put into my projects, you can see that my blocks are numbered. They go Alpha across and Numbers down, so if I have a K9 position, I have to use a canine (dog) fabric. In this case 6/10 is my son's birthday :) |

Sewbiz.....just adorable..please share when bunny together...
Macybaby...wow...just beautiful!! geevee...thank you! Your tote is looking good.. Ice....I love your postcard quilt. So creative and colorful... I went through the sewing guide and used Holt's sew in interfacing method for these block elements. Also, made all the bias stems so my assembly line is ready for block designing.... |
Checking in and seeing more beautiful projects. Macybaby... wow, just stunning!
I got all my t-shirts rough cut and the remains cut into strips for a rag rug. I just cut the border strips for a quilt. I’m taking a quick break before sewing strips together and attaching them to the quilt top. Then I’ll hopefully go on to finish my placemats and a bag. If I get those done, I’ll spend some time organizing future projects. |
Well, went to Urgent care this morning and found out my right elbow was fractured from a fall this past Wednesday. Have a hard cast and sling on my arm; so, definitely no quilting for me this weekend but am enjoying reading about all your projects.
