I hate it when people use abbreviations that I don't understand what the letters stand for. What is a VQW, please. How do I find out what you mean? Sorry so dumb.

Yes, it's annoying not to know the meanings of acronyms. Here's a link to the common ones used on the board and elsewhere.

VQW is virtual quilt weekend
HST is half square triangle

Those are pretty blocks, Homefrontgirl. Love them!

You find out by asking... VQW is the thread we are in... Virtual Quilting Weekend. HST is a VERY common acronym for half square triangles. You are going to see that one a lot. There's also QST... quarter square triangles (hourglasses). The more you hang out here, the more you will learn. These are a lot easier to use than to type out the long words.

That is so cute, Skhf! May I ask what the pattern is?

giquilt I just realized that you asked me about my pattern. It's the "Colored Happy" quilt kit by Valori Wells (made in Kona cotton). I'm liking it -- a good way to teach myself how to quilt, without having to choose colors and design at the same time!

Sleepy Hollow, I really love your cow bag. You did a great job for your first project! Where can I find this pattern?
