Definitely will be quilting. A couple weeks ago our guild made 2 charity quilt tops...only 6 people showed up for the sewing out of maybe 40-50 in the group. I said I'd quilt them if others would sandwich them. Well, no one wanted to do that either. So now I have the tops, have to sandwich and quilt by next Thursday. Thankfully soneone else will bind them.

Oh my goodness! Sounds like they are losing interest... Too bad, but at least you can feel good about what you are doing. You are being a huge blessing to someone else.

I have found some stack and whack triangles that I cut and never sewed, so I am putting those together today. They will be a donated Christmas quilt. Our group is trying to make a bunch of Christmas ones to give out to people hospitalized over the holidays. Wish I could see their faces when they get them.

beckyboo1 and McGargantuette, I don't know if this will help you to post pictures or not, but this is what the website tells us to do. And welcome McGargantuette! Of course, you're welcome.

Posting a Picture

To insert a picture in your post, select the “insert image” icon on top of the message box. This icon looks like a framed picture of a tree. Once you select this icon, you have the choice of attaching a file from your computer or entering the url (web address) for the image. Please note that the url must be for the image itself, not the whole website. You can usually get an image url by right-clicking on the picture and selecting “copy image address”.

When you add a picture using the url, there is an option below the uploader that reads “Retrieve remote file and reference locally.” This will save the image file to Quilting Board’s servers rather than link to another website. We recommend leaving this option on, so that the other website cannot change or delete your image.

I must be doing something different to add a photo. I use the Additional Options area on the bottom and then Management Attachments. Then Upload File from a Computer.

I plan to start my first official quilt this weekend! I recently purchased some adorable charm packs from MSQC, and I'm going to put them into a baby quilt. Hope all goes well, since I haven't really practiced, just watched several videos between Craftsy and YouTube! lol

Quilt in progress

OK, since I posted how I add my photos, I figure I am kind of joining in. I have been working on this quilt for more than a couple of months. I was very very close to adding the binding but it didn't lay right. I use the quilt as you go (Kaye Woods version with the exception that I don't use a serger and I do quilt the strips). The strips were long and that may be part of the issue.

Regardless, I thought about it, and decided to cut it in pieces that I would put back together to even out any uneveness. And that is what you are seeing. I still have more to do, and I am using the cut up quilt with the addition of a few new strips. I love the blue and green of this quilt, so far.

That's a cool modern quilt, slbram17. I like the colors and the layout.

I'm working on 3 small art pieces that are part of a collaboration that I'm doing with another artist. He does the drawing and I'm doing quilting, trapunto and decorative stitch work on them. I'm also working on an art quilt of my own, it's to the point where I need to decide how to present it----and I'm doing some quilted trivets in oblong casserole size and also in 8.5" square sizes to sell at a craft event I'm doing next week.

Will post pics if I manage to get some taken.

Someone else seems to be enjoying it, as well. :D

I am in. Can't sew all weekend. I AM GOING TO FINISH MY AMAZON STAR. Only one set of units left and then putting it together. If time permits, I will them quilt some on the Diamond Star Log Cabin. And do my 2 blocks for $5 quilt club. If there is still time leftover, will bind the DSLC...but don't think there will be any. Off to the sewing room!

I don't know what the quilt looked like before your cut it up. But, I think it looks fantastic like this. I also love the colors your working with.

This is great--we have a couple newcomers to VQW. And such a variety of projects people are working on. Krisb, can't wait to see your amazon star!

I finished a couple projects today. The first is a hexagon pillow, pattern is done by a friend of mine. The second project is Frivol #4.
