Never heard of using Vodka! I don't really like starch, so I got me some sizing. Wanted that bounce ironing spray, but they don't have it at my WM, not yet anyway!

Maybe you're supposed to drink the vodka before you starch. You'll be much more relaxed.

Sounds like a waste of vodka to me!!!!

I haven't added vodka to my starch but I do add Lavender essential oil . I havent' had a problem that I know of with bacteria. It doesn't last on the fabric just while I am ironing. Maybe I should use basil or lemon to wake me up. I will keep the vodka in mind.

Wow, what a great way to use up all of that Vodka we've got sitting around. I like an occational drink made with Vodka, but I'd become an alcaholic in no time if I started trying to drink up our stash of Vodka. Loved all of the replys and I learned something new today. Thanks QuiltingBoard.
