Never heard of using vodka to spray fabric, but have just learned from America's Test Kitchen to use some vodka instead of water when making pie crusts. It's suppose to help make a flaker crust.

The vodka is to kill any germs in your water so if you keep the EO and water for a while it won't grow nasties (bacteria).
Shake well before using. It adds a nice scent to linens when sprayed before bedtime and the alcohol evaporates so it dries faster.
Some EO's will discolor fabric so test before using.

What is the ratio of EO, vodka & water when you make your linen spray? :roll:

Nope, the iron did not do well with starch and vodka. I however did quite well on the vodka, but not on the starch. A few vodka shots, you would have thought I had starched my tongue.

I search "Linen Spray" this was one of the results

"Spray for ironing. There is a very expensive ($6-$8 per bottle) ironing spray that is lavender scented you can buy only at quilt shops, fabric stores, online, etc. I guess this is supposed to be the generic of that."

2 cups distilled water, 20 drops lavender essential oil, 2 oz vodka = Linen spray

Ha-ha. Won't make this, though. Gma taught me to make great pie crust with flour and cold butter... turns out great every time!
