I work only one weekend a month - usually the third. So couldn't come on March 21st. But would love to any other Sunday in March.

Quiltingnonie-
Missed you on Sunday. I brought you blocks just in case.

Sorry I couldn't make it - hopefully the next one! I have your blocks ready to mail also. I posted pix in the pictures section, title "1st blocks" I then tried to repost them in the quilting bee thread, but don't think it worked....I do better at the sewing machine than I do at the computer
I'll try this again.....

Let's try for the fourth week, March 28. Hopefully it doesn't conflict with Easter plans.

Well here we are! Our first get together! Top left to right, Feathers, Dunster, KarenBarns, (second row) 2 Doods, Sparky, (front) sew cornie, and wine woman. We had such a good time. It was a wonderful afternoon! Thanks sew cornie for opening up your home and all the wonderful goodies, and to all thanks for coming and sharing. Feathers, thank you again for the pin cushions for all of us! I'm enjoying mine so much.

Thank you Wine Woman for posting the picture. We appreciate you and your DMIL for wielding the camera. Again, thank you Sew Cornie for opening your home to us and thanks to all the ladies who came. Didn't we have a great time? The afternoon just flew by and our conversations were free and easy as if we had all known each other for years. Very special day. Thank you!

You all look like you had a great time!
But name tags? Umm...nope, I don't wear them. lol

Wow, What a great time for all of you! That is awesome, maybe you can find more quilters on this board in your area and start your own little quilting club!

I live in Indiana. I have already talked to some members on here and we are planning on getting together when the snow goes away.

Hi! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I missed the first posting. I live in Ephrata, WA and if it isn't to far, I would love to join all of you in the future. All I have to do is first figure out where Ephrata is then figure out where you are. I have to learn to use that TOM TOM thing. We argue over where the turns are.

Did you just move to Ephrata? I live in Albany, OR but I went to Ephrata to buy my longarm from Cindi at the Fabric Patch. That is a wonderful LQS! There are several board members in your general vicinity. Charismah works at Fabric Patch, and dglvr and Omak live nearby. Check out this post: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-30893-1.htm

Ephrata is about 6 hours from Salem where the next OR/WA open house is supposed to be, at Sparky's house.

I live in Soap Lake! When I get over my latest accident, I will be back at the Post, sewing from ten to five at the American Legion Post in Ephrata. You are welcome to join us if you like. We sew quilts for a number of veterans' hospitals, local and around the state, but we also work very hard to encourage quilters or other crafters to succeed in their chosen field. You can PM me and we will chat a bit. <wave>

Well, I can one up you all! I grew up in Ephrata! It is about a 7 hour drive to Salem. Unless you want to come down and stay with someone, it is a long trip! We have kids in Moses Lake and my Mom still lives in Ephrata.

Sparky 03-01-2010 06:59 PM

I'm trying to keep track of those who are able to come March 28th. This who I have so far.

Have I missed anyone? If you are still thinking about it, I hope you decide to make the trek! Let me know and let others know as unfortunately this thread never got much of a spotlight.

omak 03-01-2010 07:16 PM

Where are you going to have this get together? <wave>

We've moved to a new thread - http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-37936-1.htm

The meeting is in March at Sparky's house in Salem. (The title of the thread is wrong - it says April)
