I have both but I use the 1/4 the most

I would not be without ethier one of them.

I have both and couldn't piece without my 1/4" foot. Even tho I have the walking foot, I have never used it. I do straight line quilting mostly and just never think to change the foot. A lot of my quilting is quarter inch outlines.

You will find both beneficial to your piecing/quilting. I would suggest when ordering the walking foot, be sure to get one with the guide you can attach to it. This will help you with any grid or measured quilting you might do.

If you purchase the walking foot, you might want to see what kind of foot plates (???) come with it. I recently purchased an additional foot plate that has a center guide for stitch in the ditch.

I agree. I've had a walking foot for each of my machines for some time and now have a 1/4 inch foot with blade. Best thing I've ever bought for piecing.
