I did one wall hanging with tabs. They're a pain to get all exactly the same length, spaced the same distance apart and eventually the quilt sags between the tabs. If it's a small wall hanging, under about 20 inches, the corner triangles work really well. Otherwise do a full width hanging tube. I cut my fabric 8 inches wide by the length of the wall hanging minuse an inch or so. Hem each end and iron in half lengthwise. Pin the raw edges to the top edge of the quilt and stitch it on when you sew the binding on. After you hand stitch the binding on hand stitch down the bottom edge and sides of the tube.

Got it done. Sort of
I am a sew my binding to the back then top stitch to the front by machin.e kinda girl so I had the tabs flip to the front and I am going to finish it with a decorative button on each of the three tabs!
I'll post a pic when done, may be awhile as I don't like hand sewing on buttons !,,,

Whatever you choose, matching fabric is a good choice. I mean the exact same fabric makes the binding barely noticeable and you can attach it with a mini size strip.
