Wow, what a great price, I never see the wide backing here, so the other week, when I found just one bolt of a cream small print, at $20.00 a Mtr I pushed the boat out for a very special quilt I want to make, usually I just use 100% cotton calico for the backs.
You folk do have so many wonderful bargins and sales over there, and I can't get over the size of your shops, ours are so small by comparison. I guess it is because we are a small country and not many people.

Hey, what a good thing to look for! It never entered my mind that Walmart might have wide fabrics. I was recently on holiday and found a Walmart with fabric and bought a bunch of Warm & White batting for 2.43/m. I thought that was a great price!
Now I'm wishing I had also looked for backing fabric.

You will make good use of it.

Our store is going to remodel in June. So looking forward to the sales, but praying they stick to their word and keep our department (I work in the fabric dept). If that particular fabric goes on sale my co worker and I will have to fight over it. LOL
We have several wide muslin fabrics, cottons, quilt of the month, $2.00 stuff and lots of upholstery fabrics as well as outdoor fabrics, fleece, flannel, and more.
