Be very careful when shopping for newly stocked fabric. It may not be the width - 42-44" to which you are accustomed - Walmart or other places. While raising prices, some companies are also making their fabric narrower, some at 40" which doesn't sound like a lot, but it can make a tremendous difference in your finished product if you aren't aware. I've noticed it in our Walmart, which is enlarging the fabric department, and the clerks and I are on a first name basis due to my frequent stops and they confirmed this also.

Interesting!

I heard that on the national news last night. Also several of their grocery items. Over 8000 items.

So glad to hear this news!

I heard it tooon the news. I quit shopping as much at Walmart when they got rid of fabric. I used to go quite often and buy good quality reasonable material and then do my other shopping there.
I am glad that they woke up to the fact that they were losing business. It is better to pay someone to staff the fabric area that to cut it out and put in party supplies which they thought would make money but I hardly saw anyone in that department. Anyway Its welcome news.Yeah!!! |
Really glad!!! The only other choice in our area is one LQS or a 40 minute drive to a JoAnns. Fortunately, our Walmart only cut back on fabric and some was still available.

our only Joanns is 2 hours from me and not worth the gas to get there...so it is the very limited hobby lobby here in town or the internet for us! |
