Warm & Natural Batting By Yard Any Good?
I'm on vacation in southwest Florida and the closest place to buy batting is at Hancocks. Is the Warm & Natural by the yard (87% cotton 13% poly) they sell okay to use for 2 baby quilts I want to finish? Should I instead drive farther to a quilt shop and pay more to buy Quilters Dream? I'll drive if W&N isn't a good idea.

I can't speak for everyone, but I use Warm and Natural and am always quite happy with it.

Dina This is the by-the-yard batting. Are you referring to the W&N 100% cotton sold in packages or this yardage batting? Thanks. |

I find that I prefer buying batting off a roll since when it has been folded or squashed into the packaging, the wrinkles have to be removed by placing it in the dryer with wet towels or bed sheets. I prefer Hobbs 80/20 because it is lighter and has a little puff to display my quilting. I am still surprised when I bought some W&N on sale at JAF, it still has pieces of wood embedded in the batting. Not as bad as in the old days when this batting was introduced for sale.

I always use w&n by the yard...don't like the wrinkled stuff.
