I used to use Hobbs 80/20 then Joanns stopped carrying it , so I changed to W&N. I think the Hobbs 80/20 has a bit more loft to it when washed. But if I preshrink a batting W&N is the one I pick ... it preshrinks wonderfully,, just soak , spin and toss in the dryer. I had Hobbs 80/20 that came apart when I preshrunk the way I do W&N.

I used to use W&N exclusively, but since I discovered the Hobbs 80/20, that is my new favorite. At least for quilts for ME. It doesn't feel so heavy on my feet and I think it drapes nicer than the W&N. It's also less expensive when I get it on sale. I can get a queen size for under $11 with tax at Michael's. I was spending twice that at Joann's for the W&N. If I need a bunch, I sometimes order from Connecting Threads and buy enough for free shipping. When they have a sale, it's usually $13 or so.

When I can find it or when it's on sale at CT I like Hobbs.

I buy Warm and Natural on a roll I really like hand quilting with it and noticed how flat but soft it makes the quilts that I have been working on.

Love, love, love Quilters' Dream.

I purchased a roll of batting at Joann's made by Pellon -
Pellon Nature’s Touch Grab-N-Go Cotton Blend Batting 90''x20yds
I like this better than warm and natural (wait for it to go on sale)

I prefer Hobbs 80/20 over W&N. Almost all of my quilting is for charity, so I am especially happy to be able to order a roll directly from Hobbs for a great price. Their charity program requires 5 UPC's from Hobbs products (doesn't have to be 80/20 UPC's). Since I go to garage sales, it is not hard for me to come up with 5 UPC's in a short time. Since I live in Texas, the postage on the roll is not too high. Information is available on their website.

Concerning pre-washing 80/20, I have no problem with it and do pre-wash all cotton battings before using them.

I used W & N for years, tried the Hobb's but liked W&N better, then I tried Pellon Natural Touch-like that best of all!

I use Warm & White or Quilter's Dream... when I can get a very good price on it. I buy W&W by the bolt with a coupon and vastly prefer it to Hobbs 80/20.

Does anyone know if Hobby Lobby will let you buy a roll of Warm and Natural using their 40% off coupon?
