My front loader has a pre-soak cycle. I have never used it but it is there! I have my machine for years and I love it! Wouldnt have another machine.

Me too..my washing has never been cleaner and so far I have converted 5 people into using front loaders and they love them too.

I soak in my front loader. I start the wask, let it fill, agitate a few minutes, and stop the cycle. I set a timer...LOL and start the machine again as soon as it goes off. This has always worked for me.

I was taught NEVER to use Woolite or any other detergent due to it may damage the coloring in the fabrics. Only use Orvus which can be bought at farm stores or use a liquid especially made for quilts. Do not use fabric softner. Dry flat inside or outside like your grandmother did but be sure to cover it up with sheet to keep clean. It will dry well on bushes also. May go in dryer on fluff to fluff up batting. Good luck.
