Now I think we are way under appreciated in the world economy! The government should be seeking us out for recognition in doing our part to stimulate our economy! I knew this was a "stimulating" hobby! Wait, not hobby--lifestyle!

ON another note, maybe the government shouldn't know about us; they may tax the h___ out of LQS owners.

Good thing some of us are taking up the slack for those of you stashbusters.
I just wish that HGTV and DIY would get the message and research putting something on tv besides house shopping.

Thanks to all of you who are helping the average. I'm afraid I am part of the reason it is low. Wish I could help raise the amount.

I so agree! I thought DIY was developed for crafters and hobbyists. When it first came on, there were craft shows, jewelry shows, reruns of Carol Duvall (sure do miss that woman). Now its just home renovations, landscapes, and house buying and selling.

I spent that on one order!! Don't know how many more orders
I've purchased...Yikes!

Wow. I can and do spend that much on each trip to the LQS. When you think about it, $172 per year is not much considering the prices we now pay. Plus we have to have thread, needles, etc to do our passion with. If Wal Mart doesn't want our money, perhaps Target or KMart should look into it. $$$$$$ for them. When HGTV took Simply Quilts off the air, I e-mailed them and nicely, but heavily complained about it. Not a word back from them. I don't watch HGTV anymore. Somehow we need to roar louder.

So do I and where are all those young people getting the money for $300,000+ houses? And then have to go in and update them? I must be living in the dark ages!!
