Katia 12-20-2010 09:43 AM

Are we talking about quilting or holding that beautiful baby in your avatar? For me that would be a hard choice.

I sit here and look at all the ideas, like the jelly roll pattern that brought me to this site a couple weeks ago, and I still didn't start it..
Last Customer quilt yesterday, except my husband told 2 ladies at Church I was all caught up and would get their quilts quilted before Christmas... Little does he know that caught up and finished for the year is what I'm saying....

plainjane 12-20-2010 10:09 AM

Tilladare 12-20-2010 10:11 AM

Welcome!
Generally having fun, but right now can't decide what I want to work on. Have 10 placemats and 20 matching coasters WIP, a pair of matching lap quilts half cut out, 6 tortilla warmers that need started and finished... So what am I doing? Why I am reading the QuiltingBoard of course!

Sorcha

Which? Our quilting adventures, or that lovely child you are rocking in your avatar? Either way, it looks to me like you are having a LOT of fun! <wave>

No more fun this week. All the sewing is put away and I have moved to cooking in the kitchen. We always have brunch here at my house for Christmas. I call it my "eat all day" party. Today I am making pumpkin bread for the mailman and trashmen. And if I have energy left I will make dog cookies for the grand pups. I ache all over today and had trouble sleeping last night so I don't know how much I will get done today. I hope I'm not getting sick.

Enchanted Quilter 12-21-2010 06:04 AM

HOlding baby or quilting, such a toss up. Welcome from Ia.

quilt3311 12-21-2010 06:57 AM

Quilting is a wonderful way to use time. But holding that sweet little one would rank right up there. I have my first Great Grandson and believe me, I don't miss a chance to get my hands on him! He is starting to smile and coo now, so its even more fun. Of course he is wrapped in his quilt. grin

jme 12-21-2010 07:09 AM

Welcome from Texas. Definately having fun!

Izaquilter 12-21-2010 07:31 AM

Life is wonderful when surrounded by quilters! I have a spot reserved for me in Quilters Heaven (my dearest friend is already there) so I know when I move onto the next world I am going to enjoy life as much as I have here! I can't imagine my life without all the quilters in it that I am in contact with. I think that is what keeps me going besides my wonderful hubby. So yes we are having fun & will continue to have fun in our next life too! Welcome to this board & many many happy stitches to you!

amandasgramma 12-21-2010 07:32 AM

I have painted, done stained glass, messed with woodworking, crocheted, knitted, counted cross stitch, and any other craft that came along. Quilting is by far the BEST craft and most satisfying I've done yet. I LOVE it!!!

Welcome from Oregon!!!

The dust won out today. We are having a Christmas party here on Sunday for the family and I am afraid that the kids may go under the couch and never be found again. Boy...do I hate housework, always have and always will. Merry Christmas and a Blessed Peaceful New Year to all.

Me too!!! My family is coming Sunday also... I will do my cleaning on Friday morning while my hubby is gone to his "old car buddies" breakfast. It is so much easier when he is not home, to get things done.
