jitkaau, would love to copy that quilted chatelaine pattern if you don't mind sharing it. I have a quilted chatelaine my mother made many years ago. I don't hang anything from it though, I've used it through the years for my embroidery and quilting pins that I collect from everywhere. It's full of those - no room to hang any tools. Need another one for that!!

perhaps you could post a picture?? Please.:)

how about a swiss army knife type thingy with all the sewing gadgets we need.....I might could make a million on that idea, you think?

I like the idea of the cloth chatelaine. As for a pattern...how about using two or four men's ties? Small ends behind your neck and large ends with attached pockets and ribbons with clips. I wonder if my Granddaughter will let me use her passy holder? No, scissors are safer in a pocket.

Sounds like a good idea! Please post a tut!

This is the thread for the "vests" to hold your sewing tools. Kathy

I wear my sissors around my neck. but instead of a ribbon I put them on a long piece of elastic. It works great.

I remember seeing somewhere a pad that went under your sewing machine that had a hanging portion which had pockets and elastic to hold tools and a pin cushion. Maybe she mad it herself? I just haven't had time to figure one out for myself, but I think it would work well.
